How to play

Build My Park is an isometric theme park tycoon. You build and run a park: place terrain, paths, rides, stalls, and scenery. Guests arrive by car, pay at the gate, and walk around seeking rides, food, restrooms, and tables. Your job is to keep them happy so your park rating and appeal stay high — that brings in more guests and more money.

Controls

  • Pan: Shift + drag (desktop) or drag (mobile).
  • Zoom: Mouse wheel or trackpad pinch.
  • Place items: Pick a tool (Terrain, Path, Attractions, Scenery, Facility, Stalls), then click or tap where you want to build. Right-click (desktop) to rotate before placing.
  • Select / inspect: Use the Select tool and click a guest, ride, or building to open its panel.
  • Bulldoze: Use the Bulldoze tool and click a tile to remove what’s there.

Toolbar

From left to right: Select (click things), Terrain (grass, dirt, water), Pathing (paths and queue paths), Attractions (Rides, Zoo, Water), Scenery, Facility (restrooms, first aid, guard house, kennel, monorail), Stalls (food, drink, umbrella, hoodie, etc.), Bulldoze. Click the ticket booth at the gate to set entrance fee and run marketing campaigns.

Core mechanics

Money & economy

You earn from entrance fees (guests pay at the gate) and ride tickets (set per ride in the ride menu). Stalls (food, drink, umbrella, hoodie) also bring in cash. You spend on building (terrain, paths, rides, facilities, stalls) and staff (mechanics, janitors, extra security guards). You can take loans and repay them; interest accrues over time.

Park rating (0–100)

Rating is the average happiness of all guests in the park. Happy guests (enough rides, food, restrooms, no long queues, good weather) keep it high. Unhappy guests (hungry, lost, crowded, rained on without umbrellas, cold without hoodies) drag it down.

Park appeal (0–1000)

Appeal decides how many guests are attracted each day. It goes up when you add rides and zoo exhibits, and when guests leave happy (≥60% happiness). It goes down when guests leave sad (<20%). Your guest cap matches appeal (e.g. 500 appeal = up to 500 guests at once).

Day & night

The park is open 8AM–5PM. Guests arrive during the day and walk out at closing. At night, security guards patrol (you get 2 free; extra guards cost $120/night). Guards need to be near lampposts or they get frustrated and may quit. Rides stop accepting new guests at close and shut down after the last rider exits.

Weather

Rain, hail, wind, storms, and snow can occur. Rain makes guests unhappy unless they buy an umbrella at the umbrella stall. Snow and cold make guests want a hoodie from the hoodie shop. Weather is shown in the header and in a 7-day forecast strip.

People in your park

Everyone you see is either a guest (patrons and their pets) or staff (guards, janitors, mechanics). Click anyone with the Select tool to open their detail panel.

Adult (man)
Guest. Visits rides, food, restrooms, tables. Part of couples or families. Has happiness, hunger, bladder, and (on rides) nausea.
Adult (woman)
Same as adult man — walks the park, spends money, reacts to rides and facilities. Shown with a gender icon (♂/♀) in the guest panel.
Child (boy)
Young guest in family groups. Rendered slightly smaller. Has a child name and often higher thrill tolerance. Can wait at the ride entrance if the ride is too intense for an adult.
Child (girl)
Same as boy — part of families, shares the group’s last name. Children ride together when the family queues for an attraction.
Dog
Pet that arrives with some guests. Must be dropped off at the pet kennel (Facility) before the owner can go on rides. Picked up when they leave.
Security guard
Patrols paths. You place a security guard house to set a patrol area. Guards catch pickpockets in that area (75% chance). At night they use flashlights; they need lamppost light or they get frustrated and can resign.
Janitor
Hired from the Staff panel. Walks to vomit, garbage, and dog poop on paths and cleans them. In disaster scenarios they can also remove bodies and clean blood. More janitors = faster cleanup.
Mechanic
Hired from the Staff panel. When a ride breaks down, a mechanic pathfinds to it and repairs it. Broken rides show a progress bar until fixed. Rides break more often in rain and when running at capacity.

How things interact

Guest lifecycle

Guests arrive by car, park, walk to the gate, and pay the entrance fee. Then they:

1. Seek rides (first ~2 game hours) → queue, board, ride → happiness and nausea change based on thrill level vs ride excitement.
2. Get hungry → walk to a food stall (burger, pizza, ice cream, etc.), buy food.
3. Seek a table → sit and eat; if no table, they may eat while walking (unhappy, may litter).
4. Need restroom → walk to a restroom; bladder resets.
5. Leave → after a few hours they walk back to their car and drive away. Happy leavers boost appeal; sad leavers lower it.

If it rains, guests without umbrellas get unhappy until they buy one at the umbrella stall. If it’s cold or snowing, they seek the hoodie shop. Thought bubbles above guests show what they’re thinking (“Getting hungry…”, “Need a restroom!”, ride reactions).

Rides & queues

Each ride has an entrance and optional queue path (golden tiles). Guests path to the back of the queue, then step forward until they board. Rides have a boarding phase, then run for their duration; if the queue is full, new guests see “Queue is full!” and walk away. Rides must be connected to path (green base = connected, orange = not). Broken rides are repaired by mechanics.

Staff & the park

Mechanics are drawn to broken rides automatically. Janitors are drawn to vomit, garbage, and dog poop; place bins and restrooms to reduce litter. Security guards only help within the radius of their guard house — place it where you want coverage. At night, guards need lampposts along their route or they accumulate “dark nights” and may quit.

Disasters

Rare events (cyclones, fires, bandit raids) can damage rides and scenery. Security guards can catch bandits at night. The Press panel shows newspaper-style articles about your park and any disasters.
